Mistakes. I’ve made a few. Are you someone who can make a mistake, immediately see the consequences and move on? Are you able to brush it off and see the ways you’re able to learn and grow? Or do mistakes make you nauseous and leave you questioning your worth? Do mistakes you’ve made keep you up at night wondering how you’ll recover? Unfortunately, I am of the latter breed. I hate making mistakes.

Read MoreIf you’re a business owner, you should be planning to hold a sale for Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday. If you’re a shop owner, you’re nodding your head in agreement because you know that a large portion of your profits for the entire year are generated during the Holiday season.
Read MoreLet’s face it: Instagram is a money making machine that we (as business owners) can’t live without. If you are a product-based business, you should be on Instagram. Read MoreI don’t know about you, but I always love learning the quirks about people. There is so much to a person than what meets the eye and it’s like a treasure hunt to find out what lies beneath the surface. That’s one thing I love about friendship. It’s a constant pursuit of knowing the person better; deeper.
Read MoreIf you ask anyone in my family, they aren’t surprised that I started my own business. As a kid, I spent my free time playing office, doctor, grocery store, hair salon, hotel concierge, etc. I preferred strolling the aisles of an office supply store instead of Toys-R-Us. I loved organizing and re-organizing my room and office supplies. I collected old telephones, pens, and keyboards. I was told from a young age that I was a little entrepreneur with a future of managing and owning a bakery or a flower shop. Hearing those words, I never really thought I would actually start a business. To be honest, I didn’t really think too much about the future. It always seemed too daunting, so I might as well ignore its existence. Ignorance is bliss, my friends.

If you ask anyone in my family about how observant I am, they would tell you that I know where everything is at all times. The joke when I was growing up was how I could find anything. Lost your wallet? Ask Skip (my childhood nickname). Don’t know where your keys are? I bet Skip knows. To this day, whenever someone can’t find something, they still come to me first and ask me if I’ve seen it.

Read MoreIf you’ve been around my business for awhile, I would hope that you know that I am centered around running a heartfelt business and helping others to do the same. And thankfully, I know there are other people out there like me. There are business owners who seek and strive to serve their clients well. They aim to be heartfelt and honest in their business. They want their business to make a difference in the lives it touches and serves. This fact gives me so much joy and hope.

Read MoreWhat’s the first thing you click on whenever you first come across a website or blog? If you’re like me, it’s the “about page.” I want to learn about the person behind the screen. I want to know what they do, why they do it, and who they do it for. I want to know their story, where they’re from, what they were like in high school, and what they’re like in person. This whole digital age we live in is weird, but it’s also pretty cool because we get to “meet” people we would otherwise never come across.
