Marketing Strategy | For the Creative Entrepreneur

When it comes to running an online business, there are few things that every single entrepreneur needs to do. One of the major ones? Marketing.

That term and word can feel really overwhelming to a lot of entrepreneurs, but it doesn’t need to be.

Marketing is simply the process of telling the world about your product/service and why they need it.

Simple, right?

Well, yes. But, also no.

There are several platforms to market on and some platforms are better than others for your product/service.

So, where do you start?

First,

you need to pick which platform is best for you. I recommend picking 2-3 platforms that you want to focus on and master those. So, for me, I focus on Instagram, my email list, and blogging. I need to start focusing more on Pinterest, but I haven’t been able to find the time for that yet (hashtag real talk).

I would argue that all entrepreneurs should be on Instagram. I know it has changed a lot lately, but it’s still worth your time, effort, and focus. The next step would be to select two more platforms you want to focus on. You could choose from Facebook, blogging, email marketing, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

The key to marketing is being consistent. Don’t focus on Facebook and Instagram for three months, and then switch to Pinterest and blogging. Be consistent in your marketing.
